Home Cook - Lotus Soup

So excited, haven't cook this soup for a long time already.

Ingredients:

• 300g of pork ribs
• 300g of lotus root
• 100g of peanuts (uncooked)
• 1 carrot
• 8 red dates (seed removed)
• some cuttlefish slices
• some wolfberries
• some dry scallops

Let's get started:

1. Blanch the meat into hot water to wash away the smell.
2. Transfer the meat into a pot of boiling water.
3. Boil for a minute and remove the layer of scum.
4. Add lotus root and peanuts and bring to boil. (carrot, red dates, cuttlefish, scallop, wolfberries can be added at the later part at own discretion.. lol..)
5. Cover lid, reduce heat and simmer for 2 hours.
6. Add salt to taste before serving.

Chinese name of the dish : 莲藕花生干贝鱿鱼红枣枸杞子萝卜排骨汤

Home Cook - Chicken Soup

Today break record scored 90% mark for my cooking! Yeah! Cooking half way already feel like eating, so sms Darl and asked him quickily come home! Haha!

Actually only cook 2 simple dishes = Rice + Veg + Meat only. The thing on top of rice are some seasoning bought from Japan.

This is one of my favourite vege : Nai-Bai.
Ingredients : Garlic, Scallop, Mushroom

This is Chicken Soup
Ingredients : 500g Chicken (4 drumsticks), 4 mushrooms,
ginger, wolfberries, sesame oil, rice wine.

Let's anyhow cook! Haha!

1. Clean the chicken & cut the ginger.
2. Wash the wolfberries & soak the mushrooms.
3. Heat up the sesame oil.
4. Fry the ginger slices lightly, then the mushrooms.
5. Add in chicken and fry on high heat for 1 min.
6. Add rice wine to boil with chicken, then add salt.
7. Add water to boil, then add wolfberries.
8. Simmer at low heat for 30mins.

Ready to serve!

Palm Tree Beach Chair!

Today Darl~Darl buy me one scratch scratch. Wah... tio $10! Happy =D. That day we bought 2 tickets and scratched outside the shop, won $4, so we went back in to exchange for another 2, but 2nd time won nothing. Hehe..


Went Dean's house to help him tune his TV channel. He signed up for a Magic Box for Jen. Checked out on Jen's Precious Moment Collections at the display shelves. The little boy at the back staring at the cake is very cute!

Dean gave me some Maple Goodies!! =D

And also a Palm Tree Beach Chair from Dean! So nice!!

Tonight training I keep dying due to lag, so Dean says, "Hang there don't move!!" Haha! I leeched until level up.. pai seh pai seh.. =p (L154 DK & my little pet)

That day i told Celine, I cook Sharkfin Soup. She says.. Wah!! I only know how to open Sharkfin can. Then I realised i missed out one word.. Sharkfin Melon Soup la~ Hahaha.. Pai seh la~

Reunion Dinner

Tomorrow we will prepare the reunion dinner together, so we decided to have a rehearsal today. I called mummy and told her that we cooked a pot of soup today and it's quite successful.

She asked "What soup is it?"
"莲藕花生干贝鱿鱼红枣枸杞子萝卜排骨汤, I said.
She was like,"Huh? Come again?"

Haha.. Coz we name it with all the ingredients in the soup.

I've decided to stock up some chickens too as most shops may be closed during the holidays. Darl says better don't buy too many, wait the chicken turned chicken essence, I still haven't eat them.. Haha.. he knows my pattern.

Okie, better sleep liao.. get ready for tomorrow!

爱心餐餐

Whenever I have to work late, Darl will pack food for me in advance. At times I don't feel like eating because too tired to eat. But when I am on my way home I started to feel hungry, I guess the senses come back only when the stress left. When I reached the door steps, I smell something really nice! Darl know me best! haha..

These are some of the simple yet nice food prepared by Darl, always come with a hot Milo. Most contented meal of the day! Thank you!! =D

Still Remember What We Did Last Christmas?

Winter Solstice Festival (冬至)

We had these tonight, Darl cooked one.

Actually they had those that rolled on the peanuts. I had the 2 naked one, coz I had fever since Thursday followed by bad sore throat. Darl says that day my face was as red as an apple, the temperature of 39.5 explained why. Thanks to Dean who sent me home after work as I'm too ill to travel alone.

And I think Darl wake up 10 times in the middle of the night to feel my forehead.. lol.. but this time I didn't ask him to be "fever monitor" le.. lol.. But luckily he got monitor, then mid-night wake me up to take panadol again.

Thanks to papa too.. he boiled me "爱心 liang-teh"


Weekend is over, tomorrow working again.. haiz.. haven't recover le..
