This is call Acha, a kinda topping for Keropok.  I dunno where's the origin of Acha, but it's a common food served during Chinese New Year back in my hometown.

Btw, this is Keropok.

Oh dear.. digging out all the photos of food now coz I'm feeling a bit hungry.. haha!!

Dry Turnip Char Kway

Now I suddenly have a new crave, I told Darl I want to eat Char-kway... the one fried with dry turnip (萝卜干).  But too bad Singapore don't have... if anyone know anywhere that sell, please let me know!  For the time being, can only see pic and drool...

Sarawak Laksa Crave!

Cannot suppress my laksa crave anymore, called the laksaman to find out his new location and went for a laksa brunch!  It has moved to Kopitiam and selling at $3.50 now!

 
But sadly, nowadays anything that put into my mouth doesn't turned out as expected.  It's either not salty or not spicy enough, sometimes it can be as bad as tasteless.. I started to believe that it's my problem. :(

Today's Meal

Dinner : Saba fish from a Korean stall.

Lunch??? No lunch eh.. because I want to take nap, so I asked him settle his own lunch.. =P keke.. sorry Darl~Darl I cook you nice food next week ok!

Crave for Curry & Fish

Last night I said I want to eat curry fish head, so Darl brought me to Upper Serangoon to see if there's anything like that. We settled down at a Hainanese Curry Rice Stall and had a dinner for only $10.50. (Including a can of soya bean drink) That's cheap!

Mutton curry. Mostly muscles & tendon! Great!

Fish! The clear gravy is very very tasty! It's sour and appetizing!

So we have Curry and we have fish for dinner indeed! Hehe!

Lastly, tapao Beancurb + 3 Abolings inside, for supper!

Happy Chap Goh Mei 2010

Have a simple Chap Goh Mei dinner at home tonight.

Darl cooked his signature pork belly.

I cooked a super simple chinese cabbage soup. Doesn't look very interesting. =P

And rice. That's all. Hehe...

Very simple, but very full!

No appetite...

Having breakfast with xiao Charo.

No appetite today, having more med then meal.
Feel like going out for a walk, but outside is so hazy.
Hope my Darling faster come back tonight.

Lohei @ Work

This is my second lohei this lunar new year. One of my colleagues, obviously very hungry already, kept reminding on the freshness of the Salmon so as to start the makan early. Another colleague, obviously wanted to go home early, very quickily pour all the ingredients without reciting any blessings! Hahaha! So funny! I should have video it down!

农历正月初七是人日，和一班同乡好友到莆田餐馆捞鱼生。

今年捞的第一个鱼生。

今天吃了很多虾虾。。

还有许多没有吃过的菜肴 - 莆田 style 的菜。

It's a buffet lunch with wide selection of food.

Chicken craw peanut soup, assam fish, pork belly. All are my favourite!

Prawns and some greens.

The legendary D24 Durian paste! Very nice though it looks a bit.. hmm..

Lastly, desserts.

拜年

家家户户都准备了许多零食！

可惜今年不能大吃大喝，因为还没过年已经开始生病了。。。

这是一个朋友妈妈做的 Agar-agar，每年一定会有，Darl Darl 很喜欢吃。 右边的是黄梨糕。

这个朋友家特别多客厅。 两个客厅中间隔着一个鲈鱼池。

奇怪。。 为什么没有人？

都玩牌去了。。 哈哈！

今年好像特别多小朋友， 这是其中一个。今年一岁，好可爱。

团圆饭（二）

娘家的团圆饭。

一向来都习惯中午吃团圆饭，晚上便轻松了，可以一边看电视，一边布置家里，准备年糕。或洗车，看烟花，等等。。。

我有帮忙煮哦。

每年一定会有“蒜”，这样才有的“算”。

爸爸的生日

爸爸生日，妈妈煮鸡汤面线。（我吃了两碗。嘻嘻！）

Darl 买蛋糕。因为家里太多太多东西吃了，所以只买了两小片来唱生日歌用。祝爸爸生日快乐！

帮妈妈整理糕点，准备初一招待客人。这是妈妈喜欢吃的绿豆饼。

这是 Keranji，很小以前有吃过，妈妈说刚巧看到，所以买了一点，回味一下。
